INS Ranjit was commissioned in the fleet of Indian Navy on September 15, 1983. The ship has since then sailed for 2190 days, covering a distance of over 7,43,000 nautical miles. In 36 years of its service, the ship has served both western and eastern seaboard and has been the flagship of both the western and eastern fleets.
