The Manipur Government has honoured AIBA World Women Boxing Gold medallist MC Mary Kom with the title "Meethoileima" at a function in Imphal. Kom was adorned with attires particularly worn by a queen of Manipur as a mark of ‘highest woman’ of the state while conferring the title.
